DEAN A. PETRUCELLI, AIA, PRESIDENT
Dean co-founded Silver, Petrucelli & Associates in 1991. He brings design vision, leadership and expertise to the firm’s design approach. Dean is a creative and talented designer, and leads in the production of all projects. His extensive knowledge of sustainable design, code and construction underlies his approach to design. Dean has built and maintained strong relationships with local school districts and municipal leaders. He is the lead designer on most of the firm’s high-profile projects including the $103 million renovation at Enfield High School, New London’s new $22 million community/recreation center and continues to build the firm’s fire station portfolio that is highlighted by Branford’s fire headquarters and East Hartford’s LEED Gold fire station. Dean leads each project through the entire design and construction process, mentoring design staff along the way.

David has transitioned his 30+ years of design and project management for the firm to leading the firm’s business development efforts. He has extensive experience working with and managing large scale projects with multi-disciplinary teams. He has an excellent record as a team builder and effectively manages client and community relations for design projects. His design and project management background includes educational, emergency services/fire house, municipal and financial projects. David manages the firm’s decades-long relationships with some of the region’s most prominent financial institutions and law firms.

Bob leads SP+A’s electrical and mechanical engineering practice. Amanda Cleveland is a talented leader and interior designer with a track record of successful interiors projects for school, municipal, emergency services, and corporate clients. As the founding member of SP+A’s interiors department she has grown the interiors practice to be an integral part of the firm’s services while having it be equally strong on its own. She integrates effective communication, collaboration, consensus building, and coordination within her busy interiors design team. Amanda balances client requirements with project constraints and translates them into creative design solutions. She is an active member of IIDA.

WILLIAM R. SILVER, AIA, PRINCIPAL EMERITUS
Bill co-founded Silver, Petrucelli & Associates in 1991. Bill was instrumental in building the firm’s educational, housing and municipal portfolios and has nurtured more than 50 on-call relationships. As a registered historic architect, he led the efforts of numerous award-winning restoration projects. Bill led the policy and administration aspects of the firm since its inception and recognized the opportunities in southeastern Connecticut, leading to the opening of our New London office in 2018. Although retired from active participation in the firm in January of 2023, Bill continues to support SP+A with project-related advice, expertise, and management help as needed.
